Who we are

Slotine is an independent, internationally recognised legal advisor, established in 2016. From our Hong Kong headquarters, we help our global clients navigate complex legal landscapes in the Asia Pacific region.

 

What we do

Our specialty is cross-border business and corporate law. We are passionate about helping clients create the best foundation possible for a smooth and successful enterprise, and we are dedicated to providing them with continuing assistance at every stage, as their businesses evolve and change. Some of the firms we assist are investing in or acquiring overseas companies. Others are startup entrepreneurs raising capital, large companies making cross-border investments, small and medium companies changing direction or owners.

Maëva

Maëva Slotine

Maëva founded Slotine in 2016 after being admitted in Hong Kong, France, and England & Wales. Since beginning her career in 1998, she has gained extensive experience on numerous multinational cases globally, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, foreign direct investments and corporate governance matters.

Anne

Anne Quenedey

Anne is best-known for adeptly navigating complex international landscapes supporting clients facing international legal complexities, including project management, joint ventures, and mergers and acquisitions. With over two decades of legal experience, Anne began her journey at the Hauts de Seine Bar in France in 1995 and has been a member of the Paris Bar since 2002. After several years in China serving clients with global interests, she became a registered foreign lawyer in Hong Kong in 2018.

Mathilde

Mathilde Chator

Mathilde was admitted in France in 2019. In addition to academic qualifications in Business and Law, she holds an LL.M. in Chinese Business Law from Fudan University (Shanghai). A dedicated professional, Mathilde has substantial experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, foreign direct investments and corporate governance matters.

Anne-Sophie

Anne-Sophie Maurel

Anne-Sophie advises on intellectual property matters. She studied Law Philosophy, International Law and Intellectual Property Law in France, before completing her professional training in Hong Kong, Thailand and Cambodia. She was admitted in France in 2018.

Jessica

Jessica Lau

Jessica was admitted in Hong Kong in 2023 after completing her training contract with Slotine. She obtained her LLB with Honours from the University of Edinburgh before completing her LLM and PCLL in Hong Kong. Jessica assists the firm’s clients on transactional corporate and commercial matters as well as pre-litigation employment and shareholders’ disputes.

Nitika

Nitika Chandiramani

Nitika is a trainee solicitor at Slotine. She obtained her PCLL from City University of Hong Kong in 2023 (where she received the Dean’s List award), after graduating from the University of Hong Kong with an LLB. She was also the first winner of the Skadden Outreach, Action & Respect program in Hong Kong in 2019. During her undergraduate studies, Nitika worked as a part-time legal assistant for one year at an international law firm. She now assists clients on corporate, commercial, employment and probate matters.

Sophie

Sophie Li

Sophie is a trainee solicitor at Slotine. She obtained her PCLL from the University of Hong Kong in 2023, after graduating from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with a Juris Doctor. Prior to joining Slotine, Sophie worked as a paralegal at an international law firm. She now assists clients on corporate, commercial, employment and tax matters.

Mato

Mato Chan

Mato is our finance and administration manager. Mato has over 20 years’ experience in office management and merchandising, mostly with European clients. Among many key responsibilities, Mato takes care of client care letter signatures, invoices and payments.
